Once a countryman had only one asset, a bull which was the best breeder in the region. Local farmers rented the animal to breed their cows. Impressed with the efficiency of the bull, they decided to buy it, but the countryman asked for an absurd amount of money.
The farmers refused the proposal and went to complain to the mayor of the city. Sensitized by the problem, the mayor decided to buy the animal with the town’s money, paying a fortune, and registering it as municipal property.
To celebrate, the farmers and the city organized a huge party in town. They invited state authorities, government technicians, livestock experts and brought their cows for the bull to cover.
Everything was ready, they put the bull in a special corral and brought the first cow. The bull approached lazily, sniffed and turned the other way.
— It must be the cow’s fault — said one farmer. — She is too skinny! He will do it with the next one…
They brought another cow, a beautiful Dutch one, the most beautiful in the region. The bull sniffed the cow and nothing happened. Worried, the mayor called the countryman and asked him what was going on.
— I don’t know… — said the countryman. — He never did this before! Let me talk to the bull…
Approaching the animal, the countryman asked:
— What’s wrong with you? Not in the mood to work anymore?
And the bull, stretching:
— Ahhhh, leave me alone! I am a public servant now!

— No, I borrowed it from the neighbor.
— But you don’t play the saxophone!
— Neither does the neighbor, as long as I have it.
